Bike security marking (gravure de vélo) is an important step for preventing bike theft.
Your national registration number is engraved on the frame of your bike enabling police to identify the owner in the event that the bike is stolen and recovered.
Come to the top of Maelbeek Park (Jardin de la Vallée du Maelbeek) next to the Charlemagne building this Thursday 9 July from 11.30 to 14.30 where EUCG and GRACQ volunteers will be happy to help you with the marking and answer any other cycling questions you might have.
All you need is your bike and your Belgian identity card. If you don’t have an identity card you will find your Belgian registration number on your certificat de residence and composition de ménage documents from your commune, or on your annual tax bill.
