The Brussels Region parking plan (which mainly deals with car parking policy, but also concerns other road users like cyclists) lacks ambition, with its proposal to charge a mere 5 euros per year for a ‘carte de riverain’. Moreover, as far as bike parking is concerned, it is not coherent with the Region’s stated objective of 20% bike use in 2020: we would need much more on-street bike parking than foreseen in the plan.
