Why cycling is supreme in every possible sense

Check out this study on benefits of cycling and better cycling provisions, and have a look at these brochures available in Polish, Czech, Slovenian, Slovakian, Hungarian, Italian, English and German.

And on the economic benefits of cycling, here are some numbers from the European Cyclist’s Federation.

Investing in cycling infrastructure – physically segregated cycle lanes on main roads along with low-speed local streets – can deliver financial returns over 20 times the initial investment. It decreases in health-related costs as a result of air pollution and an increase in health and fitness as a result of increased physical activity. For more on this survey carried out in New Zealand see the European Commission website.
