The bicycle-directions facility in Google Maps expanded its coverage area this month, now covering Germany, France, Poland, Ireland, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.
This means that when you ask Google Maps for directions between specified points, you can not only do so for car, foot and public transport, but also for bike. So for those who use Google Maps, it means no more need to switch to a dedicated cycling app or website or – perish the thought! – a paper map when exploring an area on bike.
