Code of cycling courtesy

The EUCG has recently signed up to the Flemish code of courtesy for bicycles.

We are aware that some cyclists give the rest of us a bad name. Poor bicycle infrastructure, such as the bike lane on Rue de la Loi test the tolerance of both cyclists and pedestrians. We want to encourage all of you to ride in a safe and courteous manner.

Every cyclist has had the ugly experience of encountering abusive, ignorant drivers. While everyone may not be a cyclist or a cardriver, but we are all pedestrians.  For that reason alone, they deserve respect and deference.
